Maithan Steel, a leading name in the Indian steel industry, marked 25 years of operations with its dealers’ meet, Jashn-E-Maithan 2026, held recently in Dhanbad, celebrating a journey defined by steady growth, reliability and long-standing partnerships.
Founded in 2001 with a sponge iron manufacturing unit with an annual capacity of around 60,000 tonnes, Maithan Steel has steadily expanded its operations over the years.
The company diversified into TMT bar manufacturing in 2012 and has since grown into a 5,00,000-tonne integrated steel plant, supported by advanced manufacturing processes and stringent quality control systems.
Today, Maithan Steel has a presence across 25 States and Union Territories, supported by over 250 institutional buyers and a network of more than 2,500 channel partners.
The company serves over 25 lakh individual home builders and consumers and has generated direct and indirect employment for more than 25,000 people.
Alongside commemorating the milestone, the company outlined its future expansion plans, including ongoing projects across sponge iron, ferro alloys and allied segments aimed at strengthening manufacturing capabilities.
Maithan Steel has also received environmental clearance for a 9,00,000-tonne steel plant, with construction expected to begin during 2027–28, underscoring its long-term growth strategy and focus on meeting India’s rising infrastructure needs.
The Jashn-E-Maithan 2026 celebrations brought together over 1,000 stakeholders from across the country and featured a mix of entertainment, brand engagements and key announcements reflecting the company’s journey.
Brand ambassador The Great Khali played a prominent role at the event, reinforcing the brand message, “Strong Matlab Maithan Steel,” and symbolising values of strength, resilience and reliability.
Reflecting on the milestone, Director Madhur Agarwalla said completing 25 years was a moment of pride built on the trust of dealers, partners, vendors and customers, adding that the company remains committed to strengthening its capabilities and contributing to India’s growth with stronger steel.
Director Kaushal Agarwalla said the milestone reflected enduring partnerships that have helped the company grow consistently, noting that the celebrations were a tribute to those who have stood by the brand over the years.
